Mèreville Trust products are made with dedication and care from the finest herbs, flowers, roots, and resins – all natural sources, with farms incorporating biodynamic organic practices following ancient vedic traditions. Many of Mereville Trust's suppliers are re-enfranchised rural workers, mostly inidigenous women, who are realizing a healthier, happier life for themselves and their children as a result of their association with Mèreville Trust. Mèreville means 'City of Mother'.

The life-enhancing, clarifying effects of incense and essential oils have been known for millennia. We at Gaia-Tree I.S. have been using incense and essential oils personally and professionally for over four decades. Our observation: Mèreville products are without equal. Every fragrance is pure, clear, unique; each one fills and uplifts the space, endures, and is effective. These are the most powerful, positive, and pleasing products available anywhere.

The incense paste is prepared using vegetable, non-toxic extracts and hand-rolled on a bamboo stick. The paper used for packages and display boxes is handicrafted by recycling cotton fibres mixed with rice, sugar cane, banana and other vegetable fibres. People who have allergic reactions to other incense can enjoy these because of the purity.

The pure essential oils are IFRA compliant and all distillation processes are undertaken with great care and close attention to every detail. As a result, the oils are extremely pure and have a high therapeutic value that is treasured in aromatherapy applications. These oils are rare and precious.

Incense and essential oils are not the only fragrance products from Mèreville Trust. Sachets, potpourris, and anti-mosquito sprays all embody the same high quality and effectiveness.

All transactions with Mèreville Trust operate under the auspices of the World Fair Trade Organization (formerly IFAT). There is no animal testing of any product and, very importantly, there is no child labour. All children go to school.

	Mèreville Trust is located in Auroville, India. Auroville is an intentional community whose stated purpose is the realization of human unity. In 1966 UNESCO passed a unanimous resolution commending Auroville as a project of importance to the future of humanity. In 1968, over 5,000 people from 124 nations assembled to inaugurate Auroville. Before them was a devastated landscape but in their minds was a place where men and women of all countries, colours, and creeds could come to live in peace and progressive harmony. Today, Auroville is internationally endorsed as an ongoing experiment in human unity and transformational consciousness. This vision includes a dedication to practical, applied research into sustainable living: Auroville incorporates 15 organic farms; all homes are powered by photovoltaic panels; buildings are constructed with cost-effective ferrocement and unfired earth; and wastewater treatment is by "Living Machines". Happiness in the work place is considered an important part of the production process, and expresses the Ayurvedic principle that we are not separate from what we create – joyful hands increase the life-giving attributes of the final product.
